Born this way?
"God made me this way" is a statement often made by homosexuals who have honestly tried & failed to overcome the problem. Don't you wonder why would someone try to change a habit if there wasn't some conviction that it is wrong? And does the fact that one gives up make it right?
Should society adjust for others for other failures such as kleptomaniacs, rapists, alcoholics, or drug addicts and tell them this is just how God made you?
The truth is it's a question of accepting a false identity.
God didn't make you that way - ADAM did! When mankind was deceived into eating from the wrong tree it put us in the wrong arena. You are in one of two situations: You are either in Adam or you are in Christ. Each one give you an identity.
Adam's identity traps you in your own abilities and prompts you to justify it. Christ's identity gives you a new nature and justifies you by delivering you from the power of sin.
Which one will you put your faith in?
