The thing we need to repent of is believing that we are ok as is. Remember the notice on a used car "as is- no warranty"? This is a document put out by the seller to relieve them of all responsibility if you buy a car and something goes wrong. When we pretend we are good enough in the sight of God as long as we don't do anything too bad, we are living without a warranty (a written guarantee, issued to the purchaser of an article by its manufacturer, promising to repair or replace it if necessary within a specified period of time).
What God asks us to do is take the written guarantee of His word, because he purchased the title for you to be right with God. But have you transfered the title out of your name over to Him?? It's the greatest exchange you'll ever know. To give all that you are, for all that He is- this is the gospel according to Jesus. Now you can be new!
